Quick Start

  1. Get Your Airtable Credentials
  2. Get your Airtable API token from your account page

  3. Get your base ID from your Airtable base URL (format: appi7fWMQcB3BNzPs)

  4. Configure Claude Desktop

  5. Open ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  6. Add the following configuration:

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  1. Connection Issues
  2. Make sure Node.js is installed (node -v should show v14 or higher)
  3. Verify your API token and base ID are correct

  4. Restart Claude Desktop after configuration changes

  5. JSON Parsing Errors

  6. Double-check the JSON format in your configuration file
  7. Avoid using extra backslashes or escape characters

  8. Use the simplified configuration format shown above

  9. Command Not Found

  10. Install Node.js if not already installed
  11. Run npm install -g npm@latest to update npm
  12. Try running npx @smithery/cli --version to verify the installation
